“On September 18, 2014 Twin Falls Golf Club in Twin Falls, Idaho hosted the Rally for the Cure for the 18th year. When my foursome walked off of the 18th green, a gentleman approached us. He asked us if we were playing in the Breast Cancer Awareness event. We said yes. He said, “I would like to personally thank you for saving my wife’s life.”
It was a very touching moment for my group. After golf we had a luncheon and giveaways. I told the story about the gentleman approaching us. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place. We had 29 ladies play that day and I believe 9 of them are Breast Cancer Survivors. I believe that is why we are all here, but to have someone express their thanks has made it very special to me.”
